(IIP) - Jodhpur RIFF is a not-for-profit partnership project involving two of India’s leading heritage trusts: Mehrangarh Museum Trust and Jaipur Virasat Foundation. The festival has been endorsed by UNESCO as a "Peoples" Platform for Creativity and Sustainable Development."

HH Gaj Singh of Marwar-Jodhpur is the Chief Patron of Jodhpur RIFF Sir Mick Jagger, front man of the rock band The Rolling Stones is International Patron of Jodhpur RIFF.

Timed to coincide with "Sharad Purnima" the brightest full moon of the year in north India, Jodhpur RIFF features a series of spectacular concerts and events based in and around Mehrangarh Fort, voted "Asia's Best Fortress" by Time Magazine.For further information on Jodhpur RIFF.
he festival is planned to provide an open stage to all folk artists and musicians from India as well as from the globe. Around 250 musicians and artists from Rajasthan and elsewhere attend this festival.

During this time, the royal city of Jodhpur will welcome more than 250 musicians and performing artists from across India and overseas who will come together and celebrate Rajasthan's musical heritage, create music through innovative collaborations accompanied with a interesting fusion of international and local folk music and exciting performances.
Rajasthan International Folk Festival is known as India's first annual folk festival that celebrates the traditional folk music and arts. This festival first took place in 2007 and since then the RIFF society (Mehrangarh Museum Trust and the Jaipur Virasat Foundation) tries to rekindle the magic of folk and fusion every year in October by collecting connoisseurs of folk music and arts from all over the world.
This beautiful music festival will be set against the grand backdrop of the Mehrangarh Fort and will feature an assortment of events like a jazz night, a Rajasthani night, gypsy and traditional dance forms and early morning ragas to soothe you. The festival will coincide with the brightest full moon i.e. Sharad Poornima. Don't miss attending this fest as the divine music flowing to every corner of the fort will enchant, embrace and caress your soul.
